- Look I have made lenses like used in glasses but better so I am able to look at tiny things like cells in better detail.I am looking currently at pond water and can tell that there are dozens of protists.
- Hooke: Hymm I wonder if cells are in everything or just this pond water

- I am looking at cork under the microscope and I can see tiny boxlike cavities. They remind me of the cells in monastery we shall call these little units cells!

- Just like how animals need another animal to reproduce so do cells. Every cell comes from another cell.

- I have figured it out animals are made up of cells too. All tissues are made up of cells. They are the basic unit of all life.
