- Why don't we use coal instead of wood that would be much easier

- Soon everyone began using coal even large factories
- Late 1800's early 1900's
- *cough* *cough*
- As time went on heavy fog would come through London causing health problems
- I can't see a thing
- Then the smog came in, people couldn't see. Transportation was cancelled and around 12,000
- Wait! I think I have an idea
- We need to do something about this smog
- parliament got together to discuss the problem and came up with a solution called the Clean Air Act
- London is still known for its foggy days but they haven't had another great smog since the Clean Air Act was passed
