- Stanley Yelnats is an overweight kid with a lot of bad luck.Years ago Kate Barlow robbed a bank and buried her treasure Camp Green Lake is down in the hottest part of Texas where there used to be a lake but isn't anymore.

- Stanley Yelnats's family seems to be under some kind of superstitious curse that was put on them by the legendary Madame Zeroni years and years ago. And now stanely is at Camp Green Lake.

- Stanley has a really hard time digging his first hole its very hard, Stanley finds a gold tube and gives it to X Ray. Stanley steals the water truck and goes after Zero.
- Resolution
- It's raining wooohooooooooooooooo it's amazing.

- Stanley and Zero are trapped in the hole with the treasure chest and a whole pack of poisonous lizards that could bite them at any moment. The Warden is waiting for them to die while the lizards aren't biting them.

- Stanley Yelnats is surprised it says his name on the chest. Stanley's lawyer came and picked up Stanley and asked for Hectors files.

- Stanley fixes the curse by helping Zero, the distant relative of Madame Zeroni. Camp Green Lake was shut down, Hector, Stanley and all the kids are rescued from the warden.
