- She took the puppy inside but her parents said that they couldn't afford the dog and that the dad would take it to the pound...

- Doris wished the snow would never clear so she could stay with the dog for a while.. she never gave the dog a name because she knew that the parents wouldn't let the dog stay...

- The snow in the streets finally cleared and the father started the car and took the dog to the pound...

- While the father was taking the dog to the pound, Doris was sad, crying because she knew that the dog wouldn't come back...
