- BEFORE THE REVOLUTION -the importance of this stage is that it shows life before the revolution so you can compare it to after the revolution MODERATE STAGE-DURING THIS PHASE, THE REVOLUTION IS JUST BEGINNING. FRANCE HAD MANY REVOLTS AND RIOTS THAT STARTED TO SPARK THE FRENCH REVOLUTION. THE MONARCHY IS BEGINNING TO STRUGGLE AND FALL FROM POWER. REIGN OF TERROR-a period in the French Revolution characterized by brutal repression. The Terror originated with a centralized political regime that suspended most of the democratic achievements of the revolution, and intended to pursue the revolution on social matters.REACTION STAGE DIRECTORY-A THIRD CONSITITUTION WAS CREATED IN 1795. THIS CONSTITUTION LED TO THE FIVE MAN DIRECTORY WHICH IS MADE UP OF THE MIDDLE CLASS. THEY HELPED TO CREATE PEACE BETWEEN A FEW COUNTRIES, HOWEVEER; NOT EVERYONE WAS AT PEACE WITH FRANCE AT THE TIME. LEADERSHIPS HAD BEGUN TO CORRUPT, WHICH LED TO THE AGE OF NAPOLEON.THE NAPOLEONIC STAGE -NAPOLEON BONAPARTE HAD GAINED POWER ALL THROUGHOUT FRANCE AND NAMED HIMSELF THE EMPORER. HE WAS THE CAPITAN OF THE FRENCH ARMY AND WAS CONSIDERED A HERO TO MANY OF THE CITIZENS. BUT SOON ENOUGH NAPOLEON BEGAN TO LOSE MANY OF THE BATTLES HE WAS FIGHTING, INCLUDING THE BATTLE AT WATERLOO WHICH OFFICIALLY ENDED HIM.
