The Estates General marked the start of the French Revolution. There were 1,200 deputies that were there for the event. The Estates wanted a greater representation and greater political power. There were around 17,000 citizens that were killed. And the goverment was responsilbe fro all those deaths.

The members of the French Third Estate took the Tennis Court Oath. They agreed to not disband until a new French constitution has been adapted.This took place not far from the Palace of Versailles. The third estate was a group of poeple who started off as peasent farmers but then turned into wealthy buisness people.
October 5, 1789
This was The Storming of Bastel. This took place in Paris, France. This was a violent attack on the goverment. The people stormed into the fortes prison to get ammunition and arms.The prisoners weree released and the commander of the prison was killed.

King Louis and Queen Marie ANtoinette attempted to escaep paris. This happened on a Monday, 230 years ago. When they were caught, people were furious. After they were caught, they were exucuted.
