Storyboard Tekst

  • So, why is the majority of nature's blue from structures and not pigments like everything else?
  • The scientists' theory is that in the past, bird and butterflies evolved the ability to see blue light but not the ability to paint themselves that color.
  • Creating the blue pigment out of the blue would've required new chemistry but there was no way to just add that to their genes.
  • SOURCES:
  • It was easier for evolution to change their body shapes slightly at the microscopic level to create blue using physics instead.
  • These colors have fascinated curious people, such as Robert Hooke and Isaac Newton, throughout the centuries. Not only because the science is interesting but because it's beautiful as well.
