- Italy needs a ruler/someone above everyone else in authority
- I'm confused, why do we need a ruler?
- We need a humble man, who's smart and understanding.
- We need a man to keep us safe, grow our economy, and help us from dangerous cities, greater than ours.
- Council discusses what Italy should do about having a ruler or not.
- We need a ruler to protect us, and keep us safe our power is slowly decreasing.
- How about.... we let the people all choose.....

- Signory discuss... what should happen, because Florence is in a vulnerable city state compared to the other city states

- Cosimo de Medici was put on trial for:-being too rich- too powerful- his house was too BIG- he was too ambitiousAll of these factors lead to the trial and banishment of Cosimo de Medici. To add to these crazy accusations, not only was Cosimo exiled but his whole family was too. They were all banished for 10 years. All before Cosimo was banished he had taken with him all his MONEY, CONNECTIONS, and his TRADE. Little did Florence know....... that...... they were in big trouble. And little did they know, they needed Cosimo back.In the end, they (the common people) would eventually beg Cosimo to come back..... by doing this the common people take the Aristocrats out of power. And just as Cosimo returns/ when he returns, Florence will enter its Golden Age. And Cosimo will change Florence for the better for years and years. And no ruler will ever have the same level of excellence as Cosimo de Medici.
