  • I want to eat more healthy but I really don't know what to eat.
  • You should try going to choosemyplate.gov. It tells you exactly how much to eat and how much you should eat from each food group.
  • What do you mean food groups?
  • Well there are 5 food groups. Fruits, vegetables, grains. proteins and dairy.
  • Are you supposed to eat all those food groups at every meal?
  • Yes, on my plate you enter your age, gender, height, weight and how much you exercise. It will give you a personalized plan that tells you exactly how many calories you should eat a day and how much of each food group.
  • Wow! I am going to try that. I just eat whatever I feel like. Sometimes I don't eat fruits or vegetables at all.
  • I know. I used to be the same way. Did you know that half your plate should be all fruits and vegetables?
  • No, I had no idea. I think I am going to skip the cupcake today and go home and get on choosemyplate.com and try it!
  • I actually think it's fun to see what I am supposed to be eating and keep track of the food I eat. I feel a lot better.
