- Thank you for sharing your experience with the flu shot and pneumonia. I understand why that would make you cautious about vaccines. Could you tell me more about how that experience impacts your thoughts on the COVID-19 vaccine?
- It was really scary. I trusted the flu shot would protect me, but instead, I ended up in the hospital. Now with the COVID vaccine, I’m afraid the same thing will happen, or worse. I've heard of people getting really sick after getting it, and I don’t want to take that risk again.

- That makes sense. You’re concerned about severe reactions, especially since you’ve already had one. What kind of side effects have you heard about the COVID vaccine that worry you the most, and where have you been hearing this information?
- Mostly from social media and people I know. Some say they were fine, but others talk about strong fevers, muscle pain, and even hospitalizations. It’s hard to figure out who to believe. I haven’t spoken to a healthcare worker or the vaccine center because I feel like they’ll just push the vaccine without listening to my concerns.

- I can understand the hesitation, especially when there’s so much conflicting information out there. It’s important that your concerns are heard and addressed by someone who understands your medical history and knows how to customize dosage, while mitigating risks. Talking to your doctor could provide some tailored advice, like how to minimize potential side effects and make sure you're safe.
- I hadn’t considered that. I guess I would need reassurance that I won’t end up in the hospital again. Maybe if I could hear from others with similar concerns who got the vaccine and were okay, as well as from a healthcare professional who has customized it to at-risk patients, I’d feel better about it
