- Marques de rubi toured Texas for 2 years and says that it might be better for the missions to live closer together. So Spain moved settlements to the east towards San Antonio

- Y'barbo and other settlers were unhappy to move and they went on a journy to the east lead by Y'barbo. Once they settled there, there settlement grew and became the main gateway for Texas

- Father Hidalgo was a Spanish priest that hoped to gain independence from Spain and started a revoulution against Spain for treating them wrong
- This battle was known as the bloodiest and largest battle on Texas grounds. It was bad because the Mexicans were mostly unprepared and vunerable.
- This is when the border along the sabine river was set between Spain and the U.S. It also gave florida to the U.S
