- This is the story of who used it to create cell theory and what they discovered with it.
- The first person to contribute to cell theory was Robert Hooke. He was the first to visualize a cell and he coined the term cell
- The next person to contribute to cell theory was Robert Brown. He discovered that cells have a nucleus.
- This is the nucleus.
- The next person to contribute to cell theory was Matthias Schleiden. He is considered to be one of the co-founders of cell theory.
- He was the first person to formulate that all plants are made of cells.
- The next person to contribute to cell theory was Theodor Schwann. He is also considered to be one of the co-founders of cell theory.
- Schwann is considered to be the extension of cell theory to animals. He said that all animals are made of cells.
- We now know who contributed to cell theory and the parts of cell theory. 1. all organisms are composed of one or more cells, 2. cells are the basic unit of structure and function, and 3. cells come from pre-existing cells.
- The last person to contribute to cell theory was Rudolf Virchow. He is also considered to be one of the co-founders of cell theory. He stated that all cells come from pre-existing cells.
