Dark Ages

Everything has been pretty bad since Rome fell.

We have less chances to learn.

Multiple people taxing us, and no real money system, just trading goods.

Plus, there's a power vacuum, and the kings all want that power

Also, the people in charge can't really help us when famine comes.

It's such an unstable time, it feels like we are slipping.

It puts last year into perspective.

That was so sad!

See, I was saying the dark ages were crazy, you guys didn't believe me.

Okay, to recap, why were the dark ages so unstable and, well, dark?

Well, for one thing, when Rome fell the powerful lords called themselves kings and fought for land. Those poor people caught in the middle of that!

They could not get much education. And when famine and sickness came, they could do nothing to stop it.

Also, no advancements could be made because people were to busy to survive. Finally because the people were illiterate people did not write much. That means we do not know much about the time period. Part of the reason why it was called the dark ages.
