- Hi I am Sir Francis Drake. I sailed for the queen of England, Queen Elizabeth the first in 1577 until 1579.
- The goal of my expedition was to find the Northwest passage so that my country could find a quick route to Asia so that we could trade. Queen Elizabeth also wanted me to gather treasure from spanish galleons. I also was trying to conquer land for my country. My last goal was to circumnavigate the globe.
- As you may remember one of my goals, was to conquer land for my country. I was successful on doing this. I claimed land for my country by conquering parts of California for England and naming it Nova Albion or New England.
- One of my goals was to conquer land but I was also supposed to find the Northwest passage. I was not successful on doing this. I returned home to England having failed my mission to find the Northwest passage.
- I accomplished more than just conquering land. I made the accomplishments of claiming land, gathering a significant amount of gold and other riches, and I got a knighthood from queen Elizabeth.
- Some hardships I faced in my lifetime were, not being able to find the Northwest passage, as well as having to stop multiple times to make repairs on my ship, and finally my country was not able to maintain the area that I claimed because they did not have the funds.
