Volcano Rock Story

- Hello! I am Kim, currently a sedimentary rock, meaning that I am made from several bits of pre-existing rocks. I start my journey on the volcano. I start as a sedimentary rock on my journey. Follow me on my journey!
- The magma on top of the volcano crystallized, and so Kim turned into sediment, but remained at the volcano.
- Hehe, well, I still remained at the volcano because the magma crystallized, and now I turned into sediment from sedimentary rock. I mean, at least I changed, right...?
- Okay, so right now all of the volcanic ash and dust (including me- sediment) is being pushed up into the atmosphere! I am currently in the atmosphere, or in other words, the clouds. I'm being evaporated, or transported, to Earth’s atmosphere right now! As I’m being taken into the clouds, or the sky, I’m being taken as a piece of dust or ash (sediment). Now, the real trip begins!
- Volcanic ash and dust got pushed up into the sky, and so Kim was taken along with the crowd of ash and dust (sediment). So now, Kim is a sediment of ash and/or dust in the atmosphere.
- The next thing that happened was: rain and snow condensed and crystallized around the nuclei of ash/dust and it snowed. So I went to the mountains and now I am a crystallized nuclei of dust. Hey! I'm in this snowflake right here! You can't see me because I'm not visible inside the snowflake and also because it's snowing on the mountains here, causing me to fall onto the mountains!
- Hey! Now I'm sediment because wind erosion occurred on the mountains up there and so I turned into sediment during the process of weathering and erosion (process of being broken down and carried away). So, I am in the soil right now, although you can slightly see me over here, I'm deep in the soil, you're seeing me through super vision right now.
- Kim was taken into the Earth's interior and is now being compacted and cemented. Kim is in the process of becoming Sedimentary Rock. Kim is going under high heat and pressure due to the temperature of Earth's interior and the weight of the rocks above Kim.
- Heyyy! I'm turning into Sedimentary Rock now! This is where pressure occurs and I transform back to how I was in the beginning! Wish me luck! Owwww, this is hot and heavy!
