Eddy, i want you to do a presentation for VD incorporated.
I want this by the end of the day. You said you can work under pressure
I have got way too much work on my plate
Sir, with all the work on my desk, i do not think i will be done with by the end of the day
Then we will have a big problem. If that is the case, you will have to work over with no pay
Good luck with that! I want that presentation first thing in the morning regardless
I cant work over time without pay so i will have to involve my trade union
Eddy has been working for this company for plus/ minus 5 years and has never hand any issues. His new boss has been overwhelming him with work and he is complaining that it is too much.
Over working employees and not paying them for working over time is against the law. If you are not prepared to change that, we are going to have a huge problem.
Eddy is overwhelmed with work and his boss does not want to be understanding. Whenever an employee is working overtime they usually get paid for that.
Because i am avoiding a lot of fighting, i will pay for working over time.
As the new boss please try working on your communication skills with your employees and please be more understanding
When as an employee you feel like your employer is being unfair or biased towards you for whatever reason, your union will have to stand up for you. Eddy was being exploited by his employer so he has involved his union in this matter.
Eddy and a member of the trade union were in a serious meeting with Eddy's employer. The issue was that he didn't want to pay him for working overtime at work. Whenever there are problems like this trade unions always intervene
According to his job description, he is suppose to work under pressure so what is the problem?
These two parties finally decided to meet halfway and find common ground. Whenever these situations arise common ground has to be found no matter what happens.
Eddy is back at work. Now his workload is being issued out fairly and is even more than enough time to complete.
