Storyboard Tekst
In 1920, the fight suffragettes had been fighting for for years (however only white women got this right). With newfound independence woman began to explore themselves. Not only pushing their legal rights but the societal expectations built for them.
Who are you voting for?
Women in the Roaring 20's reinvented the image of gender roles by taking part in activities predominate to men. They named themselves flappers, a word originating from Britain. Flappers smoke and drank, breaking the set bounds of what gender had formerly said they couldn't do.
Not HIM lol
Flappers broke bounds with short hair that is now known as a bob. Wearing bright makeup and short dresses, driving cars and being especially promiscuous.
Flappers led to many changes in the system. At the time very few people used phones, but in this era flappers made them more predominant in usage. With the need for more telephone operators many new jobs opened up.
Flappers were the representation of change, leading to shift in political, sexual and economic freedom for women.
Flappers challenged everything leading to what we know now as the norm for women.
