- Cara and Josh were playing plying in the neighborhood, they studied together and they were very good friends they were at midsummer vacations. Cara's family had just arrived from a family vacation she was tired but she was excited to play with her friend.
- Cara's mom heard a wining from the kitchen and when she headed out of the house she saw her daughter crying. Cara said that her arm was hurting a lot, her mom got really scared and decided to take her to the doctor.
- The doctor examined Cara´s arm, he said that he needed to do some exams but that it was more likely that her arm might be broken, but that she will be okay. Josh asked how was it possible that her arm was broken and she was okay.
- 206 that's a lot
- How could I break my bone asked Cara, the doctor said that bones are really strong but that they can break if we fall too hard. The doctor also said that bones depend on certain things like calcium, vitamin D, and phosphorus.
- The doctor showed them the X-ray and explained that we have 206 bones in total and that they are made of osteoblast, which is the name for the bone cells. The doctor also explained that the fracture wasn't too bad that he was just going to put a cast and that in a matter of time her soon will be fine.
- Cara was really surprised about the number of bones we have, the doctor also said that the bones are classified by their characteristics, he said that there are five main categories: long bones, short bones, flat bones, irregular bones, and sesamoid bones.
