  • The war is finally over! I am taking care of the home while my husband is away to serve as a U.S. minister. I will later join him in Europe.
  • Abigail Adams was married to John Adams and was educated at home.The revolutionary war was starting and she was separated from her husband.
  • Abigail supported women's right and was against slavery. She wrote letters to he husband regarding her viewpoint of acknowledging women and the right to an education.
  • Even though her husband did not take her letters seriously, thousands of Abigail's letters are still famous today and after the war, when her husband was serving as a U.S. minister, Abigail remained home keeping here husband well informed about domestic matters. She later joined her husband in Europe for 5 years. Then, in her hometown Quincy on October 1818, she died but people still remember what she did and her famous letters.
