- Miss Martha and Mrs Green are talking
- BAKER'S SHOP
- He can be poor, but we don't know if he is a painter only because he has paint in his fingers.
- He comes in two or three times a week , and he always buys two loaves of stale bread.

- Hi ,can you put me two stale loaves,please. Oh thats a good painting
- BLUMBERGER takes the bread and leaves the shop. As he leaves, Mrs Green enters with a friend
- Something dreams come true
- If you marry... ,He can come and live here ,whith you, over the shop, stop dreaming Martha¡
- He is a painter and he must be very poor. How I can help him?
- Two days later Blumberger comes into the shop
- Hello, two stale loaves, please.
- ok , How are you today?
- An ambulance go past outside and Blumberger goes to the shop door to look out. Mis Martha quickly cuts into each of the stale loaves and puts some butter in them. Blunberger comes back to the counter, pays Miss Martha .
