- France was in big financial trouble. The king, queen, and nobles spent too much money, and the common people had to pay high taxes. This made life hard for many.
- Tennis Court Oath and the Creation of the National Assembly
- Are we really doing this?
- We aren't moving until we get a constitution!
- Things got worse in July 1789 when angry Parisians stormed the Bastille, a large prison.
- A consitution is made
- Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen
- The queen had taken bread away in the 3rd estate, leading the women to march on versailles and protest for their bread back and demand for action.

- The third estate hid in a tennis court and vowed not to leave until they got constitution.
- Yea!
- Because of the events that have led up to this point ecpaically the Tennis Court Oath, they officially made a constitution called the Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen.
- Since King Louis and his wife were caught trying to flee France. After this the people wanted justice so they made a machine called the Guillotine and beheaded King Louis XVI and his wife with it.
