- My good king, my news for you is not happy. The Americans are influencing Texas.

- Here are your rules-no leaving Texas, or coming to Texas-Texas on good from USA-no more empresarios -no more slaves form outside of Texas!

- The Colonization Law of 1825 didn’t bring tension between Mexico and Texas. In fact the Americans were very happy with Mexico when they figured out how easy it is to get into Texas and how happy they would be.
- Manuel’s report dissatisfied the government. They wanted to keep colonizing Texas however they found that Americans were too dangerous and not trustable. So with the information Manual gave them the government decided to pass a new law that upset the Texan settlers.
- The Law of April 6, 1830 was made to restrict American influence and keep people from coming to Texas from America. This upset the settlers in Texas and eventually they got very very angry with Mexico. Mexico was already angry with Texas and now they were more upset because of how the settlers were reacting.
