  • ugh, omg my hand has been itching all day!
  • OMG! What are these red bumps on my hand?
  • Sarah suddenly looks down and sees little red bumps all over her hands and arms
  • *Let's take a closer look!
  • What are these things? These things are called germs! They are small organisms that can live and get inside our bodies and other things that plants. They cause disease and are so small we need a microscope to see them! There are different kinds of germs but today we will talk about VIRUSES.
  • With some other types of germs, they can survive solely on their own resources but with viruses they need to be inside a living cell/ thing. one of those things can be human bodies. A virus needs a host/ something to live on or inside to survive. Viruses are often times very hard to deal with because they start in one place and quickly spread all over the body. when they feel their work is done they can go to a new host very quickly and adjust.
  • After learning that this sickness starts off in one place and quickly spreads to the other, and learning how easily another person can get this, I think we've decided she is experiencing a virus. It being able to spread to someone new so easily is almost juts how I explained that viruses are tricky because of how adaptable they can be and how they jump from host to host.
  • Chicken pocks are a sickness that many people get. They first as a common cold but quickly turn to more. A rash starts to form, usually on the face or chest. they quickly spread to other parts of your body. they often times can very easily spread to others around you.
  • What is wrong with Sarah?
