- Rainsford and his crew mates are travelling toward the Caribbean sea to Rio for hunting. Rainsford and his shipmate Whitney are discussing how dark the evening has been and how they passing the ship trap island,.

- The rising action starts off with Rainsford getting out of the water and onto a a island called ship trap island. He thought maybe there was a little village around. This part of the book is rising action because that's were the whole chaos started.
- Falling Action
- You will lose Rainsford
- The 3-day game begins and Rainsford begins to build body traps to hopefully win the game. Rainsford builds the trap called the malay man catcher. But later on we read that the catcher doesn't catch the general, but it catcher a dog!
- Resolution
- AAA, Rainsford jumps off the cliff and splashes into the water, as the general sends his dogs to chase after him. Rainsford makes the general think he has committed suicide.
- Rainsord has survived his jump off the cliff and is challenging the general to a sword to determine who gets a good night sleep.
- After killing the general in is bedroom, Rainsford is aloud to rest in a comfy bed without any worries.
