- ACT-1-SCENE-1The witches talk about meeting Macbeth. This scene emphasizes the importance of supernatural intervention in the plot of Macbeth. The witches are meeting in the battlefield which associates them with destruction and death. The witches may seem innocent, but they actually are planting a seed of evil ambition in Macbeth and a lurking suspicion unto Banquo.
- ACT-1-SCENE-3In this scene Macbeth truly embraces his ambitious desires which leads him to commit several murders in order to claim what he believes is rightfully his. The witches make predictions for Macbeth and Banquo. Banquo warns Macbeth that the witches may be tricking him in order to later bring him harm revealing themes like ambition and evil.
- ACT-1-SCENE-2The king finds out that the Thane of Cawdor is a traitor and wants to make Macbeth the new one, the witches hear.
