- The setting plays a big part in the story. Charlie is in very stressful household, with his parents living through his older brother, his sister being in a toxic relationship. This makes Charlie not want to think about his present, not living in the moment. His parents don't pay so much attention to him.
- Mary Elizabeth: yeah and then,,,that book...a
- I would say the conflict would be when Charlie kissed Sam instead of Mary Elizabeth, when he loses his whole friend group, and when he turns to drugs. He made a big change after that trying not to mess up again to lose everyone another time. He changes at the end of the movie when Sam talks to him and he realizes that he isn't being a good friend he doesn't go for things he wants he just goes with the flow.
- "He said he had a quarter ounce of pot left. So, I...bought it. I've been smoking it all the time since."
- Things had gotten so bad that Charlie really just wanted to get out of his life he used all his money to not live in the moment, to forget everything that happened.
