- Scene 1: Macbeth's vision
- Is that a dagger floating in front of me? I must be dreaming. I hear a bell ringing. That is my wife's signal. Duncan's guards are asleep. I should leave now to kill Duncan
- Scene 2: Macbeth and Lady Macbeth meet after Duncan's murder
- I just killed Duncan
- I don't think I will be able to wash all of this blood off my hands.
- Why do you still have the dagger? You were supposed to leave it with the sleeping guards?

- Scene 3: Lennox and Macduff are looking for Duncan

- Scene 3: Malcolm and Donalbain find out their father was murdered
- Banquo, I think I am going to faint
