Storyboard Tekst

  • Ugh! I'm going to flunk my quiz over the Endosymbiotic theory!
  • Dude, it's so easy. I'll explain.
  • Okay, I get it so far. I think.
  • Well, the theory basically says that eukaryotic cells and organelles such as mitochondria came from the folds of the membrane of a prokaryote.
  • So, to start. Organelles in cells didn't just come out of thin air. This was noticed and someone came up with a theory. Come on, I'll show you evidence.
  • Okay, right behind you!
  • Follow me, we'll use this empty science room.
  • Ok so lets say these little things are prokaryotes. We know that these are the types of organisms or cells that have NO nucleus. Keep in mind that it has a cell membrane.
  • Right. All cells have a cell membrane which is semipermeable! It is made up of a lipid bilayer.
  • Right. Now, organelles. They had to come from somewhere! The same goes for eukaryotes. This is where the endosymbiotic theory comes in.
  • Oh! That makes total sense. I was just over thinking it. I think I'm ready for my quiz, thanks!
  • Mitochondria
  • Mooooom! I made an A on my quiz...thanks to Avery for the crash course;)
