- The south needs to get rid of slavery for the pollution is greater cause they own slaves and we don't!
- We will not get rid of slavery they are useful to our states and if you do side with the north we will not join the united states.
- I have an idea. To make to north have equal population and the north to have slaves lets uses what i call the 3/5 compress, each slave is worth 3/5 of a person.....
- The southern states support slavery but the northern dont. So is a bigger population in the southern states but the north doesnt think its fair so they want to abolish the slavery for good.
- The southern states then refuses to abolish slavery so they won't join the united states. Therefore both sides are still not getting what they want.
- Ben Franklin then steps up with an idea called the 3/5 compress which means 1 slave equals 3/5 of s citizens so they pollutions are fair for the north and the south gets there slavery. They both won in the end but there were still changes to be made.
