- The colonists were banned from stepping on land that was owned by the French following the French and Indian War.
- The Boston Tea Party December, 1773
- The Stamp Act was the first British attempt to pay back their debts for the war. They thought the colonists should have to help pay back the debt hence they were also some of the reason it started.
- The intolerable acts
- You must feed me and house me for FREE under Birtish orders
- The Boston Massacre had a major effect on peoples perspective of the unfair taxation. It led people to fight for Independence further more because of the already uneasy relations with the British.
- The battle of Lexington and Concord
- The Boston Tea Party was the first large act of defiance towards the British. It showed them that they were done with civil fights and didn't want unfair taxation.

- The intolerable acts were the effect of the outraged British after the Boston Tea Party. Some might even say this was more of a cause towards the American Revolution than the Boston Massacre because of how mad the colonists were.
- The Battle of Lexington and Concord was the first fight of the Revolutionary War.
