Chapter 7 The Lighting Thief

- Most people knew about the bathroom incident to the point that they'd point at Percy and say something that had to do with toilet water, or they would be staring at the soaking wet Annabeth. Annabeth then showed Percy around Camp Half-Blood, as Percy then try's to tell Annabeth that it wasn't his fault that he got her wet to then be shushed. She tells him to talk to Oracle, and that she'll ask Chiron. Annabeth explains to Percy that he couldn't go home because Camp Half-Blood is his new home, since he is half god.
- Percy tells Annabeth what he knows about the summer solstice, Annabeth is now quite upset with Chiron and the satyrs lying to them every since the last time they went to Olympus, and how they made it seem so normal. Annabeth said after they visited the weather changed as if the gods were fighting. Annabeth heard Percy's stomach growl so she dismissed him to dinner. Luke walked up to Percy and told him that he found him a sleeping bag and stole some toiletries for him. Luke tells Percy that he ruined something for everybody when he got a quest once, so now Annabeth couldn't get sent out onto a quest. Luke pushing everything he just told Percy aside says ,"Eleven, fall in!" as they got trays of food and then placed an item that was on their trays into the fire as an offering.
- Mr.D congratulated the Ares table and welcomed Percy first calling him Peter Johnson to then get corrected by Chiron. They spent the rest of the night singing camp songs, making s'mores, and joking. By the end of the day Percy felt as if he was actually at home, to then realize how exhausted he was when he went onto his sleeping bag. He hugged his Minotaur's horn imagining it was his mom as he remembered when she would tell him not to let the bedbugs bite, and when she would read him bed time stories. All of the great memories of his mom before falling asleep.
