- We are the first people of the Nile River Valley, migrants from the Red Sea hills who settled near the river in 10,000 BCE and introduced many crops.
- In 5000 BCE Sudanic cultivators like us migrated to the Nile River Valley. Farmers adapted to the Nile River's flooding through construction of dikes and waterways. Soon villages surrounded the Nile.
- I am the legendary king Menes who united Egypt in 3100 BCE, became the first pharaoh, and started the Old Kingdom where Egyptian culture, trade, and government flourished.
- I’m Pharaoh Khufu and I built the very first pyramid in 2550 BCE, an incredible achievement of engineering.

- Egypt continued to expand and develop. By the time of the New Kingdom, 1570 to 1069 BCE the Egyptian Empire was at the height of it's fame, wealth, and military power.
- But all good things must come to an end. After the New Kingdom, conflicts, famine, and unrest plagued Egypt and in 600 BCE invasions of Kushites and Assyrians destroy Egypt.
