Storyboard Tekst

  • Exposition
  • Conflict
  • Rising Action
  • A rich man owned a dog and a cat. The dog had served his master for many years and had become so old that he had lost his teeth and was unable to fight anymore. But he was a good guide and companion to the cat, who was strong and cunning.
  • Climax
  • The dog and the cat were ordered to deliver a present to the master's daughter. The master instructs the cat to carry the magical ring, while the dog is to accompany and guard the cat on their journey. They both vowed to do their best until they had to swim over a river without a bridge or boat.
  • Falling Action
  • Because the cat cannot swim, the dog instructed the cat to give him the magic ring. But the cat refused to relinquish the ring since he was told not to give it to anyone else. The dog threatened to kill the cat, which made the cat from giving it to him.
  • Resolution
  • The river was wide and the water so swift that they grew very tired, and just before they reached the opposite bank, the dog dropped the ring.
  • On hearing her story, the master was very angry and commanded that all his people should search for the dog and that it should be punished by having its tail cut off.
  • When one dog meets another, he asks, Are you the old dog who has lost the magic ring? If so, your tail must be cut. Then, each quickly reveals his teeth and wags his tail to show that he is not the guilty one. This is also the reason the cat became terrified of water.
