- Reid Diggory, a Chasseur, and Lou le Blanc, a witch in secret, start leaving from the play they just watched. They bump into Estelle, Lou not remembering who she is. Estelle first recognized the girl who needed help a few days ago.

- Estelle tries to persuade Lou to come back with her, assuming that Lou was being beaten by Reid. Lou declines her offer and tries to stir herself and Reid away.

- Estelle then attacks Reid, using her magic publicly to rip off a shop sign its hinges and flinging it against him.

- Reid sees Estelle as a witch and renders her unconscious with a chokehold, taking her to the town to burn her at the stake.

- At Estelle's burning, Lou and Ansel attend as Reid leaves and continues his Chasseur duties. Lou was consumed by guilt after Estelle silently calls her a "witch killer".

- Lou used her magic secretly to take away Estelle's burning pain and inflicted it on herself, causing Estelle to drift peacefully to the afterlife.
