- I don't understand why everyone is so cautious about Wintersea. Father won't tell me much, and I don't have anyone else to ask- wait a minute....Mother's journal!
- I met with Wintersea was this morning. The President was civil, charming even, and she made me a proposal that any young Republican lady would be hard-pressed to refuse...
- Oh....ah, thank you, Your Excellency, but a decision like this cannot be made hastily. Will you allow me a few days to consider?
- I certainly understand. You may take all the time you need. You know how to contact me once you've made your choice.
- Miss Ravenstill, you may have heard that Corvus Crow is looking for a bright young woman to become his wife. If you're interested, I can put in a good word for you.
- Thank you, President Wintersea. I look forward to spending the rest of my days in happiness with Corvus.
- I can't shake the feeling that I have made a terrible mistake in agreeing to marry Corvus, though it is far too late to turn back now...
- Meridian, may I offer my heartfelt congratulations on your upcoming wedding.
- Morrigan? I heard you yelling, and - were you talking about Corvus Crow? How did you know about him and your mother?
