- Slim is scouting throughout the farm to see if the workers are working hard. Farms have to grow crops and get water from wells to stay running. Farmers have to deliver babies from their cows. Also if they do any such thing wrong they get consequences. Most farmers are really hardworking and smart.
- If cows in the farm are sick they have to be checked by vets. The reasons why vets have to check their cows is because most cows have diseases and pass them to other cows. Some cows lose their newborns i n their stomach so they have to dicept them to keep them alive. If cows get sick and don´t get the medicine they need the other cows die. Diseases spread to cows by dirt being eatin. If they dont get medicine and kill other cows they get sued.
- Lennie has trouble getting around places so George kindly helps push Lennie around the farm. Some farmers have dogs to scare of predators such as wolves. George has tasks to be done but, he chooses to help others.
