- The year is 1850. The Fugitive Slave Act is passed, and runaway slaves must be captured by their owners.
- These two slaves had just escaped their slave owner, and many slaves were following right behind them.
- ALL SLAVES MUST BE CAPTURED IMMEDIATELY.
- After this law had been passed, runaway slaves had to act quick.
- The two headed into a run-down shed where they would rest for the night.
- *yawns* Let's stay here for a bit, we need to rest.
- *huff* Y-you're right, I'm awfully tired...
- After blocking the doors, they went to bed and agreed to head onward at sunrise.
- Many runaways  were wary of slave hunters, guards who patrolled at night to look for escapees.
- The only things that runaway slaves could do was live in fear and hope for the best.
- However, the police caught them before the could escape.
- We know you're hiding from us! This is the police, OPEN UP!
