- The tariff is the most common type of trade barrier which is imposed by the government. It is paid by domestic consumers and not the exporting country, and yet they still have an effect on raising prices of imported products.
- We've been talking all about examples of, tariffs, but we haven't discussed what it is!

- I learned this from my business teacher Mrs. Singh! She told us that a quota can often be described as another type of trade barrier. In this type of barrier, the number of imports have to be limited by the government
- Why are tariffs imposed? What is so special about tariffs?
- Tariffs need to be imposed so that they can protect customers and small business owners.These small business owners need customers to thrive. These tariffs are special because they can help businesses while maintaining regular inflation rates instead of letting the numbers sky rocket.
- Hey son! I heard you guys talking about tariffs! Though you are right, tariffs can also have some negative effects too. Sometimes tariffs can drastically increase inflation rate and everything can go sideways. This happened back when I was young during the great depression!
