- The legend says that they washed up and a wolf mistook them for wolf cubs and took them with her. (To this day no one is sure how she mistook humans for animals, she just did)

- She nursed them and cared for them as a bird also helped feed them. This bird was a wood pecker. The Romans considered these to be sybols of the God Mars, leading us now to think that Mars was his father.
- Not so long after the Trogan War, Aeneus and his family sailed to Carthage and asked queen Dido if they are allowed to settle there because their city had been burnt down by the Greeks.
- Not but a week after, he and Queen Dido Fell in love. But when Aeneus was asleep, he had a dream. His mother told him he needs to complete a quest to find a peacful place for his people to settle as she did not think Carthrage was suitable.

- So, he had to leave her. She begged of him not to leave her, but he had no choice. He sailed to Latium, where he thought would be a good place for his people. The king said they were welcome and Aeneus fell in love with the kings daughter and marries her
