- The author ( who is only referred to as the author in the book) gets stranded on an island of Lilliput, an island inhabited only by little people
- He helps the Lilliputians by bringing ships in from the sea
- He puts out the fire on the castle. He then escapes the island because they were threatening to kill him, he goes back to England.
- He goes on another boating trip but finds himself on the island of giants where a girl takes care of him but he ends up getting in some trouble
- the author gets taken by a man and gets shown off in many different places.
- He sets sail and goes home.
