In 7-2 we learn how much technology has impacted society. Phones specifically are owned by 72% of youth between ages 1217. Knowledge of technology can help teachers apply new methods which can present great opportunities for students.
7-3 is about TPCK which is knowledge of the complex interactions among the knowledge domains. the knowledge domain consist of1-Content knowledge2-Pedagogical knowledge3- technology knowledge4-Pedagogical content knowledge5-technological content knowledge6-technological Pedagogical knowledge
7-4 DISCUSS WAYS TECHNOLOGY TOOLS ARE USED TO INHANCE STUDENT LEARNING
In 7-4 we learn that writing on the computer can help grammar, spelling and thinking creatively. Technology can provide tools that involve students in scientific experiments that were otherwise impossible. There is also tutorial software that can present fundamentals and then track the students grasp on the subject. Many tools are now available to students like graphing calculators
7-4 DISCUSS WAYS TECHNOLOGY TOOLS ARE USED TO INHANCE STUDENT LEARNING
Technology made it possible for foreign students to be able to learn in their native language through apps. it also allows them to communicate and meet with new people. Virtual schools are also used in order to make up credits or even as a school substitute. For students with special needs technology can help present information the best suited way for them.
7-5 EXPLAIN HOW TECHNOLOGY CAN HELP TEACHERS CHANGE THEIR ROLE FROM DISPENSERS OF INFORMATION TO FACILITATORS OF STUDENTS LEARNING.
7-5 explains how teachers can become facilitators by finding ways to embed technology into curriculum and having professional communication with colleagues and parents to better their students success
7-6 DESCRIBE THE DIFFERENT WAYS TECHNOLOGY CAN BE ARRANGED TO SUPPORT STUDENT LEARNING
7-6 Shows the different ways students can use technology for example,-computer labs-single computer classroom (teacher has computer to present through projector-Classroom cluster (table/ areas that have 3-5 computers)-Laptops and handheld devices.
7-7 SUMMARIZE WHY ISSUES OF EQUITY, TEACHER EDUCATION, AND BUDGETING NEED CAREFUL CONSIDERATION AS MORE AND MORE TECHNOLOGY IS BEING USED IN SCHOOLS
7-7 Expresses the increasing pressure to improve the preparation of new teachers and staff. some schools have required the licensure of technology to be better equipped to handle it. 7-7 also talks about the struggles of students who don't have access to internet due to money issues putting them at a disadvantage and loss in opportunity for creativity.
