- One day Anil came with a bundle of cash and told Hari that he had sold a book to the publisher.At night he kept the money safely under the mattress of his bed.
- I have been working for Anil for over a month and i haven't stolen anything apart from the 1 rupee i take from grocery shopping.i have not done anything in my line of work.
- The story is about a 15 year old thief who changes his name every month to stay ahead of the police.This time he kept his name as Hari Singh.The thief meets Anil,a 25 year old stuggling author,while watching wrestling match amd asks him if he can work for Anil as he feels that he has not robbed for the past few days and thought it would be easy to rob a simple person like Anil.
- Am i making a mistake in leaving Anil?
- Anil took Hari to his room over the Jumma Sweet shop and gave a space in the balcony to sleep. That night Hari cooked a meal which tasted awful and Anil fed it to the stray dog amd told him to go off.Hari smiled in his most attractive way and Anil agreed to teach him how cook and write in full sentences.
- Hari slowly started to relise the mistake he had made in robbing Anil amd returns to Anil.
- Anil will be so disappointed when he finds out that i betrayed his trust......i shall return to him as soon as possible.
- Hari realised that he had been working for Anil for over a month and hadn't yet stolen anything apart from the 1 rupee from grocery money.Hari ws suprised to see how careless Anil was amd the amount of trust he had on him.

- Hari steals the money and decides to leave the city by Lucknow Express that departed at 10:30,when the train slowly started moving he hesitated for a moment thinking if he was going to regret stealing Anil's money, but decided to proceed with his plan and got on the train.
- While looking through the metal bars, holding onto the bundle of money ,a train of thougthts ran through Hari's mind.He was constantly thinking about the oppurtunities he had lost by making such a poor descision. He felt his stomach churn when he imagined the disappointed look on Anil's face when he finds out he was robbed by the person he relayed so much trust upon.He felt remorseful and decided to return to Anil.
- Hari had planned to get off the train in the next stop but ended up meeting his former employee who immediately recognised him and caused a commotion.The man caught a hold of Hari's collor and handed him over to the police and was then charged with several cases a theft and was sent to juvenille prison for 3 years.He later commited suicide due to the incessant bullying and torturing of his cell mates.
