- Walter Mc'millian is arrested. Stevenson is his lawyer. Walter is on death row,
- Climax
- Walter is convicted of the murder of Ronda (18 year old girl) Walter was framed by the CJS. Myers lies and says he seen Walter's low rider truck at the cleaners the day of the murder.
- falling action
- Stevenson uncovers secrets the CJS has held about Walter's case. Myers admits he lied about his testimony against Walter. Stevenson meets with Myers.
- Resolution
- Walter's trial takes place. Myers agrees to testify against the people who convinced him to lie against Walter. Many others testify. Walter isn't guilty.
- Walter gets released from prison. People from Monroe county are mad Walter is released. People from Monroe county call the EJI making death threats. Walter lives in Florida for awhile with his sister. Walter develops dementia. Lives in a nursing home.
- Walter dies of severe dementia in the nursing home. Stevenson goes to his funeral and lets his people know Walter loved them.
