- Romans civilization last from about 700 B.C.E to 476 C.E. Rome is located in Italy. Italy is a peninsula, a peninsula is a body of water around a peace of land but only on three sides. The Italian peninsula is shaped like a boot, and it also reaches the Mediterranean Sea
- The Etruscan Influence of Sports on the Romans
- The Romans had a myth about how Rome was founded.The myth goes like this, There once was a princess that had twins, she named then Romulus and Remus. The twins father was Mars the Roman god of war. The princess uncle the king through that the twins would grow up and take his thrown, so he ordered his men to take the twins to the river and drowned then, But before the were drowned a mother wolf came and recused then and raised then till someone saw them and they raised then till they were grown they help around the city and the decided to make there own town on the other side of the Tiber river. They couldn't agree on a name so Romulus killed his brother and took over the town.
- The Greek Influence of Architecture on the Roman Civilization
- The Romans became vary good at building, because of engineering, and science of building for the Etruscan's. Rome adapted Etruscan's style and some the Romans were better at building then them. The Romans made arches for the bigger buildings for the public and they also made aqueducts and more.
- The Greek Influence of Writing, Art, and Religion on the Romans
- The Romans adapted two of the Etruscan sporting events, one was slave fighting and the other was chariot races, The slave fighting were mostly at funerals. The Romans would stage slave fights, and the slaves would fight to the death then the winning slave woulds be killed. The chariot races were about people racing on a seat with weels and horses and sometimes the people would fall and be ran over.
- The Romans got a lot of inspiration from the Greeks and the Etruscan's, soon the Romans were better than the Etruscan's at building. The Romans built arches to make there buildings better and stronger.
- The Romans worshiped lots of gods and goddesses but the Greeks came up with all the gods and goddess but the Romans changed their names. The Romans used Greek designs in their own public buildings to worshiped them
