- This is a good topic to talk about, and the meaning and knowledge of identity theft is, when someone wrongfully acquires and uses a consumer’s personal identification, credit, account information.
- WOW! Thats something so crazy. How do they do that, if you don't give them that information?
- That's a good question, but they do it by getting to your wallet or purse. Steal credit card or debit card information. Use electronic communication. Break into a computer system.
- And how does individual protect themself from that? And what do they do with the information that they steel? This is a very good topic, for if I was a victim.
- The way that you protect your identity is to protect your SSN, financial information. safeguard of purse and wallet, being careful using the internet, check credit report, and protect your identity. what they do with the information is many things like apply to driver's license, credit card, get a job, rent or get something, etc. They use it for many things.
- They do so much by just getting some information with you. I think people should be more careful with were they leave their information and contacts. Theft are such bad people for doing such things to others. Thank you so much for the information! I will now be teaching this in class, so they are not a victim of this topic.
