- the proclamation of 1763 was set in place on October 1763. this was passes after the french and Indian war. in-order to avoid conflict with the natives, a boundary line was created. this forbid the settlers tog o past that line. this angered the settleres.
- Townsend Act June 1767
- the sugar act taxed sugar. the British goal was to stop trade smuggling sugar and molasses. the British wanted as much money as they could get. this angered the colonies. because of this many protests were started.
- Boston Massacre March 1770
- the stamp act taxed many different items. the stamp act put taxes all printed materials. some examples arenewspapers, almanacs, pamphlets, broadsides, legal documents, dice, and playing cards.some of these documents
- Boston tea party December 1773
- because of the actions of the colonists England was forced to put rules in place. the colonists protests all the taxes that the British government was trying to put on their goods. this upset-ed the colonists. they began to protest. This caused Britain to pass the Townsend acts. These acts allowed the British army to stay at the colonists homes and the colonists had to provide for them.
- the Boston massacre happened on March 5th 1770. this was a fight between British soldiers and colonists. 5 colonists were killed. it was a bloody scene. however,it was the perfect opportunity for the colonist to create propaganda about the British. this is exact what they did. they switched up the story and put all the blame on the British
- the Boston tea party was an act of protests. the British government put tax over tea. Tea was one of the main things the colonies drank. they used it everyday. when they found out about the taxes the were outraged. one night in December 1773 male colonists dressed up as Indiansand threw tea overboard at the ports of boston.
