The three witches meet together and discuss that they will cross paths with Macbeth and tell him his prophecy.
The time has come.
His prophecy will be told to him.
Hail Thane of Cawdor
The three witches recite to Macbeth his prophecy and Banquo asks what his his: he will be the father of future kings and he will be less happier but far happier than Macbeth.
Hail soon to be king
Hail Thane of Glamis
What a future
What about me
Lady Macbeth wishes that Macbeth would kill Duncan so he becomes king. Macbeth is worried at first but then reassured by Lady Macbeth. His main reason for killing is ambition.
Fine, I will kill Duncan and become king!
I want you to kill Duncan to become king, but I believe you are too kind
I have a foolproof plan so that we don't get caught
Why do you still have the weapon?! Give it to me.
Macbeth has killed Duncan and returns to Lady Macbeth. Once Lady Macbeth leaves, he hears knocking multiple times. When she returns they both go to wash the blood off their hands.
What have I done???
Through all the confusion around Duncan's murder, his sons (Malcolm and Donaldbain flee). Macbeth is crowned king of Scotland by Macduff. At this point the witches prophecies have become true.
All hail the new king, Macbeth.
No, Dad!!
Macbeth has ordered the death of both Banquo and Fleance. Macbeth feels that with their presence, his throne is being threatened. The there murderers attack Fleance and Banquo, killing Banquo.
