- Jay wants to smoke pot with his friends but he asked his mom about it first and she said she would be extremely disappointed in him if he did. However, a couple weeks later he finds his mom's pot pipe.
- The first solution I have to this is that Jay uses this as an excuse to smoke with his friends and doesn't confront his mom.
- The other option is to have Jay confront his mom about it and try to get her help so that she can change for the better.
- Drug Help
- I think that Jay should confront his mom about finding her pipe. This is because she is probably struggling with her own addiction and didn't want him to get into the same trouble with her.
- Some short term effects might be that the mom is struggling from withdrawal symptoms and might be a bit irritable. Another short term effect is that the family might look at her differently because of her hiding something so big, so well without any of them noticing.
- Long term effects are that hopefully this counseling helps to make it so that no one else in the family gets into it. She stays drug free and lives a happier, less stressful life. The family quickly stops looking at her as a liar and supports her in her treatment and helps her a lot to make sure she gets through this.
