- Morning class, I brought you out here to learn all about soil
- Farmers alternate the types of crops from year to year, does anyone know why they do this?
- It Renews the soil and helps prevent pests and diseases
- Also it prevents soil erosion
- Soil is not tilled from year to year. The previous crops standing protects the soil.
- Tillage erosion is the turning over of soil. This loosens and lightens the soil. It also creates pores for water and air movement
- It also contributes organic matter to the soil.
- This also helps warm up the soil quickly to speed decomposition of organic matter
- Overall of Soil quality for the crops!
- Topsoil is more exposed due to wind and water erosion
- It also reduces soil Fertility.
- When carrying capacity of grazing land is exceeded. The livestock feeds on grass more than it can reproduce
- What is the problem with Over Grazing?
