- INTRODUCTION:
- It was sunrise at Nagrebcan, the fine, bluish mist, low over the tobacco fields, was lifting and thinning moment by moment. A ragged strip of mist, pulled away by the morning breeze, had caught on the clumps of bamboo along the banks of the stream that flowed to one side of the barrio. Before long the sun would top the Katayaghan hills, but as yet no people were around. In the grey shadow of the hills, the barrio was gradually awaking. Roosters and goats crowed and strutted on the ground.

- EXPOSITION:
- It was just a usual start of the day on Nagrebcan where people start doing their job , it was a pleasant morning where in Baldo woke up, where in he played with his five puppies where in one of them was a white with black spots. Her mother asked to do some errands and after he did them he went back to play with his puppies
- CONFLICT:
- The conflict started to arise when Ambo woke up and played with the other puppies but grew tired of them because he wanted the white puppy. This created a fight between the two brothers where in the two brothers fought for the white puppy.
- RISING ACTION:
- The puppy was howling,, wagging its tail to break free from Ambo but the dog bit him in the palm. The commotion was noticed by their father, Tang Ciaco where in he found out that Ambo got bitten by the white puppy. This in turn created a misunderstanding that the puppy has gone mad.
- Resolution
- The brothers found the puppy in the corner fields where in Baldo dug the grove with a pointe stake. The brothers after that, gently placed the dead puppy in the grove and gave it a proper burial. With what happened to the brothers, both settled their differences and went back home .
- FALLING ACTION:
- After the boys were beaten, Tang Ciaco picked up the dead puppy and threw it away into the cornfields. He then went inside the houseand went off to work. Nana Elang proceeded to her children, and she gave first aid to Ambo's hand.
